About the Event

The Aerospace Small Business Industry Day is a unique opportunity to connect with representatives from government agencies and several of the NASA Centers as well as NASA Prime Contractors.  Learn about NASA missions and how your firm can participate in the supply chain.  The event is targeted to small and diverse businesses in the Pacific Northwest.  Space is limited so register early. The event is sponsored by Impact Washington, Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance, Washington State Department of Commerce, and Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

How do I know if NASA buys what I sell?  Check out the NASA Centers Acquisition Guide linked here.  It walks you through the different NASA missions, top industry codes, and more.

How will the one-on-one match making work?  The one-on-one meetings will be pre-scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.  All registered attendees received an email at 10:30am on Monday, September 18th.  The sessions filled up within about 20 minutes.  We do, however, always have no-shows and cancellations prior to the start of the match making sessions.  And, if you didn’t get the session you were hoping for, all the representatives will be available at breakfast, lunch and during the breaks.  NASA representatives are available from 1:15pm – 3:30pm as well.

What if I don’t get a match making session?  If you did not get an appointment for a one-on-one meeting, there is still value in attending the event. You’ll benefit from the sessions in the morning as well as have an opportunity to network during lunch with each of the NASA centers and prime contractors in attendance.  This networking will continue in the afternoon.  Additionally, there will be a panel discussion on Doing Business with NASA from regional small businesses.  Note that we also always have no-shows and cancellations so just visit the match making desk at 1pm to see if we can plug you in.

How can I prepare to make the most of the event?  Your Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Counselor exists to support your efforts to sell to government agencies and prime contractors.  Their no-cost advising can help you create a capabilities statement and conduct relevant market research so you make the most of your time at the event.  Additionally, PTAC has a webinar available on How to Prepare for the Event.
