Summary: The work required for this project includes reconfiguration of the rail yard and construction of 2 long interrmodal tracks including 12,300 feet of track, 9 cross-overs and 25 turnouts. Work includes select demolition, earthwork, asphalt paving, relocation of electrical and communication utilities, light relocations, fencing, installation of an arch culvert, storm drainage, storm filter catch basins and modular wetland treatment systems.

Charleston Base ECO-Lift Project

A pre-bid walk-through of the Project will be offered at 10:00 AM on January 21st, 2016 at the Kitsap Transit’s Charleston Base, 200 Charleston Blvd, Bremerton, WA 98312. Bidders are encouraged to attend.

 

Late bids will be rejected.  Bids may be received by mail, courier or hand-delivered.  Fax or emailed bids will NOT be accepted. The Work, to be performed within 60 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed, consists of demolishing existing rotary lift equipment, site preparation, and installation of new ECO-Lifts.  Three (3) ECO-Lifts will be procured by Kitsap Transit from a third party vendor (Lift Logic), who will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and training.  Under a separate contract for general construction, the demolition and site preparation will include: Special Shoring, Slab Demolition and Excavation for Pits, Eco-Lift Pit Preparation (wall, slab, and steel fabrication), Minor Soil Backfill, Haul of Excess Soil, Fine Grading, Fill, and Conduits for Wire.
