Salish Security & Consulting principals, Bridget and Dan Guerrero, experts in the field of counterterrorism and homeland security. Military veteran and Managing Principal Bridget Guerrero found the “gold mine” of free business training in both the Veteran’s Small Business Resources in Seattle and WA PTAC.
About Salish and PTAC
Approximately one year ago, Bridget participated in a conference hosted by PTAC in Snohomish County. The information gleaned in that session was very valuable, both principals took full time jobs in local industry and the business goals were put on hold for a year. In March, 2017, PTAC hosted another event on Doing Business in Whatcom County and motivated the principals towards pursuing government contracting. The team responded to a Washington State Patrol RFQQ, and contacted PTAC – Cate Taylor for a counseling session/RFQQ review. Cate was on pointe with so many substantive suggestions, and provided a referral to another local expert to answer a question she couldn’t help with. We took all of her suggestions into account in finalizing the product, it was submitted with confidence.
On Friday, March 24, 2017, Salish received notification of the award for one analyst position in the Washington State Patrol Fusion Center, a $110,000 contract that is renewable for up to 4 years. This propelled the team into enthusiastically responding to another similar bid to provide multiple analysts to support the Washington State Patrol, and will request PTAC support in reviewing that RFQQ as well.
