Washington PTAC – Native Services is designed to serve individual Native, Tribe, Alaska Native Corporations, and Native Hawaiian Organizations located in Washington State.  The goal of the one-on-one assistance is to help firms become more successful in contracting with tribal, federal, state, and local governments.  Services are offered at no cost.

Kylene Peters, Native Services Senior Business Counselor

Kylene has been in the PTAC family since 2003. Before re-joining Washington PTAC, Peters worked at the Native PTAC program.

In her previous role, she was responsible for overall planning, direction and results of Native PTAC, ensuring that the development and implementation of the organization’s marketing, outreach and communications strategies and activities are tied to the execution and implementation of the Two Rivers CDC and Native PTAC concept and vision on a regional basis. She has previous VA procurement experience. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Services Administration, is certified as an Associate Contracting Assistance Specialist (ACAS) by the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC).

Peters has worked with, and on behalf of, small- and medium-size businesses for over two decades within several industries and has been an entrepreneur with a home based business. She has an extensive background in business development, technical assistance services, education and training in regards to federal, state, local and tribal government agencies. She responds to requests for information, oversees and conducts business outreach, assists in educating and in training small businesses. To that end, she has consistently promoting economic growth locally and regionally.

Marnie Tyson, Native Services Senior Business Counselor

Marnie has experience in online communications, streamlining sales and business processes, development of training and procedure manuals, not to forget her great marketing and research skills. She is adept at helping business owners find their focus and fit in private and public marketplaces.

Marnie holds a BA in Business Administration, is a Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) through the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC), and a Veterans Administration Certified Counselor.
