The Project will build (6) miles of new highway between I-5, SR 167, SR 509, the Port of Tacoma and production centers in the Kent and Puyallup River valleys, extending SR 167 four miles from Meridian Avenue to I-5, along with a 2-mile connection between I-5  SR 509 near the Port of Tacoma.

In order to assist certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Contractors and Suppliers, we will divide items of work into smaller tasks or quantities and establish delivery and construction schedules which will permit maximum participation where feasible.

The Design-Builder in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat.252, 42 U.S. Code 2000d to 2000d-4, and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 26, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will afford Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not discriminate against DBEs on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
